Corporate and Government organisations continuously renew their tech every few years to maintain certain standards in their operations. These same devices may not be suitable for corporate employees, but can be of significant value to indigenous students who don’t have access to technology.
Our Laptops for Indigenous Youth program provides laptops to Indigenous and Torres Strait Island school educators to help bridge the digital divide. The program takes a strategic approach to help keep students engaged in their education, and supports the aim to get more youths through secondary school.
Research shows that youths who complete secondary school have a better chance of entering tertiary education and pursuing a professional career. This program aims to increase these statistics, and support professional development in these communities.
